A Police Officer and Teacher at Aspen High School…
To who this may concern,
May 4, 2006
I met Dr. Aurora Ariel about two years ago and became interested in her work. After talking to her more about it I asked if she would be willing to meet with my high school class and give them a 90 minute rendition of what she shares with others in her work in TheQuest™.
I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical how this would play out to a group of 20 or so usually somewhat inattentive high school students. Anyway, she came and met with two of my classes. Both classes were surprisingly attentive and interested in what she presented. Several students, after the class had ended, stayed after class to speak with her further to find out what more they could learn about her work and to thank her for what they had learned in that short period of time. The fact that she held everyone’s attention with something that was somewhat foreign to all of these students and she had all the class thank her as she left for the day and others asking for more, told me that she was on the right track with the work she has dedicated her life to. I also followed along with the class in the exercises she had designed for that day and was amazed at the insights that were provided to me in so brief a period of time.

When meeting with a court-ordered ordered youth, I noticed an enormous shift in his attitude and responsibility in a very short period of time… So I asked him "What has happened to cause you to mature so quickly?" and that's when he told me that he was in a program for teens (TheQuest™ Teen Forum) that was making a huge difference for him. While he still has work to go in his life, I have not see such a huge internal shift in a youth like this in a very long time. My interest in the Teen Forum came from seeing results, not from hearing about the program. Fantastic work! –Shawn Stevenson, MSW, Counselor, Case Manager for Youth Zone
